Three days.
It’s been three days of absolute peace and tranquility. No one is sick and no one is dead. I expected the Langs to have been searching high and low for me again.
But I haven’t heard from them. Nothing at all and I’m relieved, anxious, and extremely excited for something to happen.
You don’t just try to kidnap someone and give up on the first try if it doesn’t work. I know that much.
Still, going back to class and coming back home feels so normal with no hustle and worry. Pen still worries me for any kind of information.
But god forbid that I tell her anything too deep. Like how my abdomen clenches with desire when Mars and Lucien kiss.
Or how my skin tingles anytime they touch or kiss as if I am the one on the receiving end of it.
