I shakingly place the water on the counter with a little more force than necessary. My heart keeps slamming into my rib cage.
My hands can’t seem to stop trembly. My knees appear weak and everything around me gets a bit dizzy.
“Hey. Calm down.” Mars maneuvers himself to stand between me and the counter, his hands cradle my face.
“I don’t think I have seen you this anxious before.” He worriedly murmurs with a frown.
“I know. What do I do now?” I murmur, pleading with my mate to somehow help me deal with this.
A world that was never to know of our existence, in a matter of minutes has had the veil peeled of their eyes. I know how these humans are.
They are greedy and too curious.
By all means, they will try to find Adara and Inanna to experiment on them for certain.
