Day Twenty -Five: Prophecy Of The Cursed Luna

1071 Words
Aria barely heard anything after that. The words echoed in her head long after Aiden left. Cursed Luna. That night, she couldn’t sleep. The more she thought about it, the more the pieces of the puzzle felt like they were falling into place—her unusually strong instincts, the strange energy coursing through her, the way the elders watched her like a threat. She needed answers. And she knew exactly where to find them. The pack’s oldest library was rarely used, hidden away in the lower levels of the estate. Aria had only been there once before, when she was still a child. But if there was anything about this so-called Cursed Luna, it would be there. Slipping through the darkened halls, she moved quickly, her senses sharper than usual. She should have been afraid of being caught, but instead, a strange certainty guided her. Something wanted her to find the truth. She reached the library, pushing the heavy wooden doors open just enough to slip inside. The scent of old parchment and dust filled the air, the torches flickering weakly against the walls. Her fingers brushed against the spines of countless ancient books before she finally found what she was looking for—a leather-bound tome with faded golden lettering: The Cursed Luna and the Blood Moon Prophecy. Her breath caught in her throat as she opened it. The words inside sent a shiver down her spine. "The child born under the Blood Moon carries the mark of the Cursed Luna. She will be feared, for her power is unlike any before her. The mate bond will call to her, but should the wrong mate be chosen, destruction will follow." Aria’s heart pounded.... The Blood Moon...? Her birth had been during the Blood Moon?. Was this prophecy about her....? Before she could read more, a voice sliced through the silence. “You shouldn’t be here.” Aria spun around, the book slipping from her fingers. Axel stood in the doorway, his silver eyes dark with an emotion she couldn’t read. “How did you—?” “I could feel you.” His gaze flickered to the book at her feet, and something like recognition crossed his face. “So you found it.” Aria’s pulse raced. “You knew?” Axel’s lips pressed into a thin line. Then, after a long silence, he stepped closer. “You’re not just anyone, Aria. You were never meant to be.” His voice was quiet but firm. “You’re the last descendant of the Blood Moon Luna." Her breath caught.... “What does that mean?” Axel’s jaw tightened. “It means that your fate is already sealed. And if you don’t choose wisely… it could destroy us all.” Dear dairy, what do you think will happen next..? --- A Past That Should Have Stayed Buried The weight of his words settled on her chest like a stone. If this was true, then everything about her life had been a lie. She had been raised as an orphaned omega, a weak wolf with no future, but in reality, she was something else. Something dangerous.... Something the elders feared... “Why would the elders hide this?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Axel hesitated before answering. “Because they know the prophecy isn’t just a warning—it’s a threat.” His eyes darkened. “Your power could change everything, Aria. And not everyone wants that.” Aria felt the weight of the book in her hands, her fingers trembling as she traced the faded words. The power inside her, the instincts sharpening—was it all leading to this? She met Axel’s gaze. “What happens now?” Axel’s expression hardened. “Now?” His voice was barely above a whisper. “Now, you need to decide if you’re ready to become who you were meant to be.” And for the first time in her life, Aria wasn’t sure if she had a choice. ---- Fangs Behind the Smile Dear dairy, as if my troubles were not enough? Lillian Hart came along. Lillian Hart stood at the edge of the training grounds, arms folded across her chest, a smirk playing on her perfectly glossed lips as Aria stumbled for the fifth time. “Such grace,” she drawled, her voice like poisoned honey. “You’d think a Luna candidate would know how to land on her feet by now.” Aria said nothing. Her knuckles were scraped raw, her knees sore, and her pride—battered. But she didn’t look away. That only made Lillian’s smile grow colder. She was the Beta’s daughter. Born into power. Raised to stand beside an Alpha. Any Alpha. But especially Asher. Their families had practically planned it since she was a girl. Until Aria came along—clumsy, plain, and pathetically weak. Or so she’d thought. Now the entire pack whispered about Aria’s bloodline. The Blood Moon Luna. The Cursed One. The triplets—her triplets—were circling her like moths to flame. Lillian was done watching. It was time to set fire to the flame.... --- Sabotage in Silken Steps Later that night, Lillian slipped through the hallways of the main house like a shadow draped in perfume. The guards didn’t stop her—why would they? She was trusted, adored even. Still, she didn’t go to her father’s wing or her own chambers. She went to Asher’s. The door was slightly open. He was seated on the edge of the bed, shirtless, muscles tense, his gaze dark. “She’s changing you,” she said softly, slipping inside like a whisper in the dark. Asher didn’t turn. “Leave, Lillian.” She ignored the command and moved closer, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. “You’ve always been the strongest of the three. The fiercest. And yet she tames you like a dog.” That got his attention. He stood, eyes flashing gold. “I said leave.”But Lillian didn’t flinch. She stepped forward, pressing herself against him. “You think she wants you, Asher? You think that power of hers doesn’t come with manipulation? She’s playing all of you. Do you really think it’s a coincidence all three of you are bound to her?” Asher’s silence was answer enough. There was doubt there. Lillian’s lips curved. “What if she’s cursed you already....?”
