|Thanksgiving Special|
I was in the kitchen with Misty and a couple of ladies. We were all preparing a feast for tomorrow night. I smiled as Misty made her most famous Lasagna. I was cutting up vegetables while the other ladies were preparing the turkey and the pies.
The whole Packhouse smelled of food.
“Do you think we will finish in time?” Misty questioned.
“For tomorrow evening? Yeah, that's why we started cooking and preparing early. Some of these foods need to be chilled overnight.”
I continued cutting up the vegetables.
“Have you heard anything from Caleb?”
“He's going to spend Thanksgiving at his friend's house. Apparently, he has a new girlfriend” Misty sighed as she rolled her eyes.
“Well good for him. Hopefully, he doesn't treat her like how he treated me.”
