After the engagement celebration, I take a regular commercial flight back to Wellspring. I need to start planning my trip to San Diego. The sooner we disband The Creed, the sooner we can get on with our lives.
I am planning to go to San Diego alone. I will go mingle with the locals and find out where I would be able to find the “extreme training” site.
I am lost in my thoughts when I bump into Alexis. “I’m so sorry, Alexis. I wasn’t paying attention,” I tell her.
Alexis is a bear, so she is naturally very tall and fit. She, also, happens to be a breathtakingly beautiful girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She could really be a model. Maybe I should ask her out on a date. She isn’t my mate, but I am beginning to think I will never meet my mate. So why not?
