Mira It’s funny how our perception of ourselves can change depending on our mood. I barely recognized my face in the mirror as I washed up at the end of another shift at the hospital. It’d been three days since I was home, and sleeping on the hospital cots was taking its toll on me. My skin looked dull, my hair was a mess, and my eyes looked perpetually swollen.
