I was more than just relieved to see Gabe – The Silent Warrior pack’s doctor – rushing into the pack’s infirmary with Wesley – one of the surviving warriors – and Decker.
“Quickly! We don’t have much time!” Gabe cried out as Wesley placed Decker onto the operating table.
“Luca and Seff are still out there,” Wesley said to me, and I nodded. I would go after them in a minute. I was stunned to see that Decker wasn’t breathing and although Gabe and his three nurses tried to revive the Beta, I wasn’t sure it was possible. I watched in awe and horror as Gabe got some type of machine set up while one of the nurses placed a mask of some sort over Decker’s mouth and nose.
“Now!” another nurse shouted out as Gabe placed the two weird-looking things on Decker’s bare chest.
“Clear!”
