“How did it go?” I asked the second Luca walked through the door. I instantly noticed the smile on his face and I took a moment to simply relax. “Good?”
“Yes, Wayne is prepared to take as many of our members and give them shelter until this is all over with,” Luca informed me as he wrapped himself against me. I held onto him as I breathed in his scent.
“When?”
“Seff wanted to get everyone moved as quickly as possible but Rain told him to wait,”
“I wonder why?” I asked as I finally released my mate.
“I don’t know but she was adamant that Seff had to wait until the last possible moment. She said that there is no way for us to know if we have a spy watching our every move,” he explained, and I nodded. The thought of someone betraying all of us like that was…horrifying.
