[ Luca ] “This place is amazing,” I heard her voice in my mind and I smiled as I turned to see her standing by the island. “I’m glad you like it,” I said. “I was worried that maybe you would be…upset…that I furnished and decorated the place without you two,” I then admitted as I turned my attention back to the hashbrowns I was frying in the pan. “No, not at all. I think you captured each of us,” she said, and I breathed out a sigh of relief. “It’s actually amazing to me to see just how much you managed to capture,” I didn’t miss the accusing tone in her voice despite the mind-link. A wave of guilt washed over me, and I tensed up. “Luca…I’m sorry. I don’t mean to make you feel bad. Especially after your apology and giving us this wonderful gift,” I relaxed somewhat and turned the gas off
