I growled out in frustration as I hung up the call. I hated having to interrupt Luca and Rain on their date, but since Adam had let me know that he wasn’t coming in, I hadn’t had any choice. I cursed the man for demanding I work a double shift as a favor to him. I hated that I wouldn’t get to spend the evening with my mates, and I hated that I would have to stay over at my apartment instead of at the house. I was especially pissed because Luca had just come back to us, and I had missed him more than I had admitted. I wanted time with him. I needed time with him.
