Days passed, the wedding date was fast approaching and so was the time for Eric to return home, but the war in Georgia reprised and delayed everything. Though the war was elsewhere, it directly affected the traders and banks in New York. It was a war with great magnitude, everybody was directly or indirectly affected by it. A large number of soldiers had been injured in the process. Since condition in Georgia worsened, many of the injured soldiers were relocated to New York for medical treatment.  The hospitals and medical camps had a tough time managing a huge number of patients that flooded in.
