The orc doesn't slow its charge as it approaches. Maybe it thinks it's invincible at full speed or doesn't register in its tiny brain the bright and shining blade in my hands is a risk to its safety. I'm sure it's accustomed to dealing with unarmed prisoners or even the smaller and less agile hobgoblins who we've already dispatched.
