The weekend had gone by in a flash, and Lina was back at her law firm. Philip was starting his first day as the new junior paralegal on her team. Her secretary, Shelly, was surprised to see them walk in together. But Lina played it off and said that they ran into each other in the parking garage. Shelly thought nothing of it and assumed that Philip had redeemed himself in Lina’s eyes.
“Good morning, Ms. Yoo,” Shelly greeted.
