“Ugh!” Randal groaned on the other end of the line.
“Randy, you’re more than welcome to come still. You were actually invited,” Leo said, his voice dropping to a dangerously calm octave. “But your C-list actress isn’t going to be here by the time you arrive.”
“What did she do, Leo? Other than swipe my invitation?” Randal asked. The distinct jingle of car keys clinking in the background picked up through the speaker, indicating he was already heading out the door.
“She f*cked with Evan’s girlfriend.”
“SHE WHAT!?” Randal shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice utterly saturated with horror.
