HEART was relieved that Nix was able to control his jealousy in front of Rave. At first, she was nervous that Nix might say something awkward. And thankfully, it didn’t happen. Because if he does that, she will smack him in the face right in front of everyone!
After enjoying an hour of swimming, Heart went out of the shower wearing her robe. Nix and Peter were still in the shower room and it was only her and Rave waiting for them to go out.
It was awkward, for about five minutes, no one’s talking among them until Rave started.
“Where did you meet your boyfriend?” He turned his attention to her with curiosity in his gray eyes.
Heart lifted up her head to see him. He was tall and she looked like a small little girl whenever she was closer to him.
Hovering over him, she replied. “We’re schoolmates in college but we just dated last year.”
Rave nodded as he avoided her gaze. His jaw clenched, his Adam's apple moved which didn’t escape her eyes. He really looks like a Greek God for goodness sake! How could he be so handsome as a sin? She knows it is a sin to think like this while she has a boyfriend but she just couldn't help admiring him.
“Why did you ask?” She asked when he didn’t reply and remained staring at the coastal sea.
“Nothing, I just wonder,” he replied.
She was about to blurt out another question but Nix and Peter came out of the shower. Nix quickly snaked his arm around her waist, as if he was telling everyone that she was his territory.
When Heart thought that everything was fine. Well, it was just the start of a storm!
“Do you like my girlfriend?” Nix asked, arching his brow.
She was shocked with his question, she lifted up her head, gently pinched Nix's shoulder and whispered. “Nix… please?”
Rave looked at Nix with all confidence. “And how do you say that?”
“Do you think I didn’t see how you look at my girlfriend? You’re looking at her as if you want her!” Nix yelled.
A deep chuckle made the situation worse. Rave walked towards Nix and gave him a smirk. “Do you hear yourself, kid?”
“I am not a kid!”
“You act like a kid. Afraid that his sweets might snatch away from you.” Rave scoffed, as he crossed the distance between them.
Peter quickly rescued and stepped in between them before the tension intensified. He covered Nix from Rave.
“Rave, I’m sorry about my friend’s attitude. Don’t worry, we’ll talk to him.”
“No, Peter! I want to talk to this man! He’s talking like an almighty just because he's the owner of this hotel! Come on!” Nix shouted.
“Nix, babe, don't do this please! Let’s go back to our hotel room—”
“He shouldn't get away from this, you perverted bastard!”
“p*****t? Do you know what you’re accusing me of, kid?” Rave taunted him, adding more fuel into Nix's anger.
“Nix, Nix, please!” Peter was wrestling with Nix who was trying to break free from him. “Heart, take Rave away from here! I’ll take Nix to your room.”
She agreed and held Rave’s wrist to pull him away from Nix. But Rave pushed away her hand.
“I can walk,” he sneered. “Go to your boyfriend. He might even get jealous.”
“I’m sorry,” she pressed her lips.
“You don't have to, if I were him I might be that possessive too.”
“What do you mean?”
Not wanting to look at her, he sighed. “Just go back.” With that, Rave continued walking, leaving her with questions in her head.
Weird, but Rave seemed to have always said double-meanings that she couldn’t figure out what it was. Maybe she was right at her speculations, Rave is lonely… but why?
Instead of watching his back while he walked away from her, she quickly got her feet back to their hotel room. Peter and Nix were already there. Peter was sitting on the bed while Nix kept on pacing back and forth inside of the room.
“What was that, Heart? Hmm?” Nix shouted. “Why did you hold his hand?”
“I didn't, it was his wrist for goodness sake, Nix! What is f*cking wrong with you?” Heart shouted.
“Okay, I should get out of here!” Peter shrugged then stood up and left them. It was awkward to watch a couple arguing while he was just there, watching a drama.
As soon as he closed the door, Nix browled another word. “Do you like him too?!”
“What the heck? I just met him yesterday and you thought I like him? This is not you, Nix! You never become this possessive and jealous!”
“Yes, because look at him! He's successful, and you might end up liking him for that—”
“Damn you!” She cried, pushing him away. “Do you think I’m that kind of woman, Nix? We’ve been together for a year! And you didn’t know me? I have money, I have fame! Why do I have to find someone else when I have everything?!” Tears trickled down her cheeks while saying those words. She couldn’t believe that her boyfriend was accusing her of something so horrible. She was never a gold digger!
“Why are you crying?” It seemed like Nix had finally realized what he had said. He quickly tried to coax her by holding her cheek but she moved away.
“Don’t touch me!” she shouted. “I need to get out of here.”
“Heart, please! I’m sorry, babe! I didn't mean to say that, I was just jealous and afraid—” Another try to hold her but he failed.
Heart distanced herself from him as she wiped off her tears. “I need to get some fresh air.”
As she closes the door behind her, she leaves the hotel. The white sand lure her to walk by the seashore to calm herself. It was the first time that she had an argument with Nix. He might be really jealous. But why? What’s with Rave that’s making him so jealous?
While she was busy striding through the seashore, she saw Rave. He was sitting on the white sand while looking into the sunset. There she remembered something…
The scene that flashed into her mind earlier this morning. So she walked towards his direction and sat beside him. He glanced at her and pursed his lips.
“What are you doing here? Your boyfriend might see us.”
“We’re not doing anything wrong, I don’t care about what he would say!” she said.
“He acts like a kid, how did you fall for that kind of immature guy.”
“He wasn’t like that, it was his first time getting jealous like this, I didn’t know why.”
Rave nodded. “Really?”
“Yeah…” She shrugged. “Hmm, I have something to tell you.”
Curiosity flashed into Rave's face. “What is it?”
“Earlier, when you turned your back to me, I saw something like a flash of memory in my mind. You turned to me and then smiled!” she chuckled. “It was the same spot, same place. Like it was real. You won’t believe me but I really did see that. Like a deja vu! When are you going to smile at me? I haven't seen you smile. That may be the reason why I saw that.”
Right when she turned her attention back to Rave, her eyes widened and she got nervous…
“Why… why are you crying?” she asked curiously.
