It was odd to see the princess take such a kind interest in a palace servant. The princess’ interest was very noticeable. She, too, did not bother hiding it. She wouldn’t go over board but still, whatever little she did, she had no time to hide. “Yes?” Lady Mare answered, still unsure of where this was heading.
“Oh, Rebella. What did she say to you?”
There was silence. In that silence, the princess gathered herself. She then realised how obvious she was acting. In that same silence, Lady realised something too.
