Watching Robynne leave was hard, harder than before, because the prince was by her side. The only part of her leaving that made me feel even the slightest bit better was Robynne climbing into the front seat, not beside the prince; his shocked face when she climbed in the front was enough to put a smile on my face, taking some of the sting out of her leaving.
"Come on, Son, Robynne left some medicine for you to try; it might balance your wolf, bring him back out." Dad had wrapped his arm over my shoulder and was leading me back inside. Pack members were watching, smiles on their faces at the bond Dad and I have, and not afraid to show it in public. If only they knew there was more to this display than comforting me as I watch my mate head back to the palace.
