Talia’s Point of View  I had no idea where we were going. A part of me was too afraid to ask. Asher’s booming voice had startled me enough to send me back into the passenger seat of his car, just like he had wanted. He climbed in without another word and took off down the highway, heading back towards town. The only place I was absolutely certain we weren’t heading, was the airport. He’d made that far too clear. Thanks to those stupid wolves in the forest, now even in California I wouldn’t be safe. Another part of me seemed more than willing to take the risk just to get out of here. After everything I’d been through, how much worse could my luck really get? It was the fear of what might happen if the wolves did find me though, that was keeping me here. I might have had a rough few days
