Talia’s Point of View
My initial reaction to Asher’s dramatic proclamation was to burst out laughing, yet simultaneously I felt a shiver of fear rush down my spine. Werewolf? That was crazy talk, or at least I would have thought so a few days ago. I couldn’t get the image out of my head though, the way I’d watched with my own two eyes how that black wolf had so swiftly transformed into the body of Asher Hale.
My second reaction, therefore, brought me to the conclusion that Asher was playing some sort of sick joke on it, and Ryland was almost certainly in on it. They’d planned some elaborate scheme, to make it seem that a wolf had transformed into Asher, maybe they’d even set up the whole attack in the forest like some sort of skit. Why were they doing this exactly though? I wasn’t sure,
