He closed the last stretch of distance that separated the two of us, doing it so fast that I almost ended up taking a step backwards. My heart was bouncing against my chest like a sledgehammer, his close proximity setting me on edge—but what made it strange, was that I welcomed this feeling. It made my body feel warm and tingly, but it also made me feel like I wouldn’t be able to run away from him, even if I tried.       “Does that mean that you have no problem with doing just that?
