I shook my head, looking up to see whether or not the guard who was leading me to the supposed location of my work equipment had stopped to take a breather yet, and I wasn’t even surprised when I saw that the distance that separated the two of us had gotten substantially bigger. Instead of me walking a step or two behind him, I was now a few steps behind him, and I would dare to say that I may need to jog if I desired to catch up to him.  We had left the palace quite some time ago, which was strange to me. I had been under the impression that I would be working from within the palace. I’m sure that anyone else would have thought the same thing. When the Queen had mentioned that one of the guards would have to escort me, I had just assumed that it was because it was in a part of the palace
