One moment. That was all it took for me to process what was happening around me. One moment in which I managed to wonder whether I had stepped too close to the pond, whether my foot had slipped. One moment before I remembered the feel of the Queens’ hands on my back just before I had felt myself falling forward—felt myself being sucked into the water. Was that even possible? When my body finally crashed into the water, I could have sworn that I felt the very fires of hell start to scald my skin, and before I knew it, I opened my mouth to let out a scream of pain—but unfortunately for me, my screen went unheard, for just as fast as I opened my mouth, it filled with water, making the entire experience that much worse. Instead of just feeling like my body had been set alight externall
