" I've been alright. You seem to be in a pleasant mood," I observe. He only nods,
" Things have been looking up for us, and it's all thanks to you, Apphia," he says, looking into my eyes. I blush.
" And thanks to Daisy," I murmur, eyeing his reaction.
" She did play a part,"
"I didn't know you guys were close," a waiter says as he brings our appetizers: steamed dumplings.
" She hates me; she always has for some reason," he looks amused.

He chortles from his throat and smirks, " But nothing,"
"Something has changed between you after a special night?" I guess, a smirk plays on my lips as I observe him. He grabs his chopsticks and, taking one dumpling in his mouth,
