Everything was rotating around Kaia. The heated kiss with Max left her senses reeling, more intense than anything she had ever experienced, way more powerful than any kiss she shared with that scumbag, Adam. It felt as if her entire body was on fire, consumed with an uncontrollable desire for Max. She tried to kiss him again, but to her frustration, Max held her in place.
"Calm down," he murmured, his voice a soothing contrast to the chaos within her.
Annoyed, she pushed against his restraining hands, not expecting the force that sent him flying across the room, crashing into the opposite wall. She covered her mouth in shock, her eyes wide.
