After they completed their mating, Kaia lay exhausted in bed, her body still vibrating from the powerful release and the height of Maxime's blood. She felt a mix of physical exhaustion and a strange new energy coursing through her veins. Maxime looked at her intently, and to her surprise, she suddenly heard his voice in her head: *Are you OK, little flower?*
Kaia stared at him in shock. "How are you doing this?" she asked aloud.
His voice came again, telepathically: *Try to reply to me in the same way.*
