I feel strong arms around me and open my eyes. Chuck stares down at me and gives me a chaste kiss as he takes the stairs with me in his arms.
“Chuck.” I say softly.
I didn’t hear him come in. I was really waiting for him. Couldn’t sleep in his room because every thought of doing it without him around gave me goosebumps. I ended up choosing to stay awake and talk to Danny. That’s when sleep caught up with me.
“I'm back baby.” He says placing me on his bed. He lies on top of me and stares down at me. He doesn’t look okay. What happened? How did it go at his parents’?
“You look sad.” Sleep has evaded me completely.
“Sleep. We will talk tomorrow.” He says sadly and slides to my side pulling me to him.
“No.” I shrug his arms off me and lie on top of him, kissing him hard. God knows
