“Hey?” Ted pulls me to him and kisses my forehead “Hi.” I flush. “Ready?” “Yap. Very ready.” “Let’s leave then.” The door is already open so I step in and fasten my seat belt. He does the same too and takes my hand kissing my knuckles. “Corners.” He orders his driver and gives me a smile. “How was your day?” “It was awesome.” I lie. The truth is that it’s a disaster. I made a bet with my boss which I shouldn’t have done in the first place. He is doing everything he can to win the bet. The experience in his office, the elevator, the practice hall; he is really determined and it’s becoming hard to do this. I can’t work in peace because of some stupid bet. Maybe I should resign and look for another job. Why do I have a degree in IT if I’m going to be working under an asshole? Mode
