Oranges were sweet and juicy, which needed to be peeled or skinned and divided into two or more quarters in order to obtain the juicy sweet. While others would rather divide it into two, other peeled it to suck the juicy side of it. Angel White was a fan of oranges, but she preferred mandarin more, compared to oranges that seemed to take more effort to peel. The juice was still exceptional good to her taste buds and orange was just a means to show her angelic appearance and manipulative aura. "Ouch!" Angel winced as soon as the knife pricked her finger. The orange that was half peeled fell back into the white porcelain tray. Seeing that Angel had cut her finger, Stella quickly hurried towards her in panic, pulling her hand towards her. "Oh dear, what were doing, how can you be so careless." , Stella said, slightly elevating her voice. "I..." Angel bit her lips and looked at the prick in her hand. The injury was minor, but a little drop of blood could be seen, not significant but visible enough to cause her to turn pale at the sight of the red blood. Seeing the pitiful and pale expression on her daughter's face, Stella felt pain in her chest and immediately ordered for a maid to bring the first aid kit over, then she sat by her daughter's side. "What were you thinking, a knife is quite sharp, you might have injured yourself seriously." Stella reprimanded her, but her voice was neither loud nor low, just enough for anyone two meters away to hear. She sounded gentle and calm as well. "I'm sorry mum, I was careless this time, please don't blame it on me, I...I was just thinking of sister Auriane and I..." Angel paused, not knowing how to continue for how to put in her words. She bit her lips and looked extremely sad at the thought of Auriane. "Mum, do you think Auriane hates?" Stella snorted at the thought Auriane and her mood suddenly turned worst. "Why would you think of that little b***h she's not worth you getting hurt." Angel knew that, it wasn't like she intentionally hurt herself for the sake of Auriane. She was just slightly distracted at the thought of the changes in Auriane. She was utterly annoyed and indignant, feeling that she was losing control of the situation. Not once had she ever felt that her control over a situation could be loosen. She held the reigns, and every single life and situation was under her control. However, Auriane's reaction made her panic. She felt that Auriane's ever green eyes was slowly pulling out her soul out of her body, sucking every breath of hers. But why? She was still perplexed, and felt extremely sour and bitter in her mouth. She thought of sucking an orange to disperse the bitter feeling, but she even lost control of the orange. How could that be? Angel took a deep breath to regain her composure and take a grip of her emotions, she realized that her mother had long tended to her injuries and was now peeling the orange in her place. She was slow, yet meticulous, holding the orange in close control. The orange was in her palms, only turning if she decided so, which made Angel to finally realize something. "It doesn't matter if that little b***h has changed, no matter how recalcitrant she is, she still has to share a roof with us. I'll definitely take my time to deal with her, so you don't need to worry about her." Realizing something, Angel's eyes suddenly lit and she looked at her mother with admiration and at the orange with a smug expression. "Here, have the orange, I'll peel another one for you.", Angel took the orange and held it firmly, feeling happy that she was in control of it. It was simple as the orange, as long as Auriane stayed on the same roof with her, she was still in her control and line of sight. As long she was closed, Angel believed that she could skin Auriane without hurting herself. She just needed to let others skin the orange and she could savour it without lifting a finger. A sinister smile appeared on Angel's lips as she looked at the orange that looked like Auriane. 'Dear Auriane, wait to be skinned by others, and...savoured by me.' *...~*...~* At thesame time, while others were smug about their evil schemes and saw their evil schemes through an orange, others saw the close bottom of the abyss through the cold eyes of muscular arms. "Tch, what a skinny thing." A muscular thug held a skinny baby, carelessly swaying the baby who seemed to barely hold a breath. Lucien looked from his weak position to see his sister's almost lifeless body hanging in the air, carelessly being swayed by the thug that had hit him a few minutes ago. He had no idea who were these people, neither how he had offended them. He was merely a pitiful orphan who was wandering about to get a piece of bread for himself and little milk for his sister. But his sister's condition suddenly worsened and he was hurrying to the hospital with hopes that they could save her, though he knew it was pointless. He just needed little hope, yet he hopelessly squatted on the ground, his eyes getting blurrier and his body heavy as if it had been weighed with a huge boulder. "Please... don't... don't hurt her...come at me, please don't..." Lucien was cut off and he grimaced, wincing at the sharp pain on his scalp, yet he didn't yell, he swallowed the pain and tried to look at his sister's direction, yet the other thug pulled his hair harshly, directing his attention to a desired position. "What do you think you are, tsk, tsk, tsk...an ugly swan like you still think you can negotiate with us. Listen carefully, we're the bosses here and your life as well as your fate is in our hands, you have no right for negotiation." "Then go ahead, but don't hurt my sister..." Another pain accompanied by a slap caused Lucien to shut up, yet he didn't cry. "You have no say, and as for that little thing...heh, consider her death." Lucien's body stiffened at his words, he felt his body drenched in cold sweat as he looked towards his sister's almost motionless body in pain. He lifted up his chin and looked coldly at the thug who was squeezing his black silk hair. His green eyes flashed with a murderous intent, causing the thug's body to stiffen. "Then you better kill me before, if not, don't expect to have a blissful life afterwards." In a split of a second, the thug holding Lucien lose grip of his emotions once his eyes came into contact with Lucien's forest eyes, but he was able to regain his composure soon enough. Later giving several blows to Lucien who was unable to defend himself. "Damn you brat, you still have a cheek to glare at me murderously, I'll show you that your fate is my hands." Lucien was hit constantly, yet he didn't defend himself, letting himself to be hit until the thug felt annoyed to receive no reaction from him, he finally pulled put a pocket knife and lifted Lucien's neck. Looking at the beautiful pair of eyes that had glared at him a moment ago, he furrowed his brow. "What's the need of keeping such beautiful pair of eyes with an ugly face as yours. Let me help you get rid of them." When the thug lifted up his hand, pointing the stainless steel knife towards his eyes, Lucien didn't struggle, but closed his eyes and waited for the pain. Maybe it was better for him to lose his eyes, at least, he wouldn't have to watch his sister die without being able to lift a finger to help. However, what came next wasn't the sharp pain he had expected, but the screaming of the thug who's grip was loose and a warm liquid dripping on his face. What happened? Only then, did he realize that the situation seemed to change and when he subconsciously looked back, what he saw, caught him off guard. ....... ....
