Zara’s POV I carefully memorise each twist and turn that we take as I follow the grunted directions of the men behind me. I hated every second under Laszlo’s tutelage, but I never forgot a second of the training I endured. We pass a few windows, and I glance out of each one, taking a mental count of the armed bodies that surround the building I’m now inside. I note each smell, each sound that we pass, a mental map of where I am so I can get out again when I have my husband back. I wonder where Kerrick is, I haven’t heard any gunshots or shouts, so I assume that he hasn’t been spotted by the men outside keeping watch.
