Zara’s POV I push my way through the door at the back of the room, falling through to a corridor ahead and start running. I follow the passageway, making my way past a few open doors to rooms that are empty until I reach a set of stairs. Climbing up them, I open the door at the top, finding myself once again on the ground floor of the building. As I make my way through the premises, I consider that Laszlo might have fled but something inside of me tells me he hasn’t. He went to too much trouble to get me here, he wants me too badly, and just like when I was a child . . . I can sense that he’s nearby. When someone tortures you daily, you quickly learn to remain aware of their proximity. I follow my intuition, moving with purpose until I find my way to another large room. Stepping inside
