Gerrard’s POV I don’t say anything as I storm my way back up to our apartment, my nails digging into the palms of my hands as I try to hold myself together for a little bit longer. I’m furious with myself, I let my fear take over, something I never let happen, not since I was a child. As the doors to the elevator slide open, I shove my way through the gap and to my front door where I swipe my card and barge inside. Behind me, I can hear Zara following, but for the first time since I found her again, I don’t want her to be near me, so I head for the one place I know that she won’t follow, my bedroom. ‘Gerrard!’ she calls after me as I open the door, but I don’t hesitate, I just step inside and shut the door behind me again, flicking the lock in a desperate attempt to remove myself from
