Esmond didn't come to the hospital for the rest of the night.
I was prepared for this, so I wasn't disappointed.
After a few days of recuperation in the hospital, I was almost recovered.
The doctor said I could be discharged in the afternoon.
Despite the damaged mate bond, I was still the daughter of the Shadowfang Pack's Alpha, and my strong Alpha bloodline kept me somewhat healed.
"Cam, I have something to do this afternoon. I'll have the driver take you home," Eugenia said.
"I don't need to. I have few things, and I can take a taxi," I replied.
During my hospital stay, Esmond only showed up once initially and didn't come again.
It was Eugenia who had been taking care of me, and I already felt indebted to her.
