I sit in the car for a minute after I pull up in Ace's driveway. Ace called to ask if I had an hour to spare and of course I said yes. He can be sure that I'll always say yes whenever he asks me to look after Leigh, even if it's in the middle of the night. God knows I'd happily do this free of charge. I take a deep breath before I step out of the car, then I pull my coat tighter around me as I approach the front door. I think I lied when I said the cold doesn't suck as much as it did two days ago. I guess I was just drunk, because this cold f*****g blows. Paris opens the door when I ring the doorbell. I can't believe how much my opinion about her has changed since Leigh and I talked about her. You know what I dislike more than people who yell at children? Yeah, that's right. P
