Epilogue

Three years later… “Daddy!” Anjelina called me from the garden. She’s playing with her dog, Hershey, a Pomeranian. I walked to the garden and saw her pointing at the newly-bloomed flower. I recognized that it’s the flower that she planted with my wife a week ago. I smiled and sat beside her as we both looked at the flower. She’s just like her mother when she first saw a flower bloom. The look of astonishment in their eyes looks so alike. “That’s a wonderful flower,” I told her, and she giggled. She hugged Hershey close to her and leaned her head on my shoulder. Having a daughter is probably one of the things I am most thankful for. Anjelina is a great kid. She’s only two, but she can already write her name and can count until one hundred. My wife actually thinks that she’s a genius.
