“Welcome,” Benjamin called out lazily and it took everything in me not to grab him and force him onto his knees.
“Benjamin…” Jacob said warily as he scanned the room.
“I am alone,” he said as he stretched out. “It’s nice to see you…again,” the man didn’t seem phased by the knowledge that he had been caught and that put me on edge.
“You seem rather…happy to see us,” Zack pointed out, and Benjamin laughed.
“Not necessarily happy, but I was expecting you,”
“You were?” I asked as I entered further into the room. I heard the door click behind us and I knew Adam had left, for which I was grateful.
“Of course, I have spies everywhere…do you really think I would try to escape without a plan?”
“How?” Jacob questioned as he loomed over Benjamin.
“Well now, it wouldn’t be wise to
