Hansel & Gretel-The Twin Demon Hunters

Chapter 18

Hansel and Gretel were the twin brother and sister of a poor wood-cutter.

And that is how this story begins….We had spoken about this when we had started the story but we had not got into the details of where and how this entire story started. So in order to come to the birth of Hansel and Gretel who were an abomination in Heaven and Hell we need to start with the story of who their parents were and how did they even meet and what happened to them after that.

I am sure all of you are thinking that what am I even saying…this is supposed to be a fairy tale with the children going in the forest and then inside the house of candies and then burn the witch showing that good triumphs over evil and they get together with their father then live happily ever after. But do you guys really believe that?

I mean seriously, I know that I am sounding like a broken record but could it be all really so simple, or we have actually never come to hear the original story at all.

It is always a love story, and it will always remain a love story. This was after the Great Flood when all the animals, creatures, humans except those on Noah’s Ark were killed. An angel was sent to Earth in order to pass the message that it was time to let the doves go. They say that it was only because of the Flood that all the devastation happened but there were a multitude of calamities which had happened during that time. Like volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis were termed as Great Waves during that time. So let us say that there were these calamities which happened which made the people and all the creatures of Dark Force which were a play in the world had been washed away or drowned and were not dead. The Earth had been purified. Or so everyone thought.

The angel came down to earth and helped Noah to start a new life once again. While he was doing that he found a dark figure wasting away in the woods. Now being an angel he could not go away without knowing what was happening to her and trying to get her some of her energy back. The angel, let’s say his name was Remiel took care of the creature who was sick and nursed her back to health with all that he had in his hand since he was on earth he could not use his angelic powers. After a month when it was time for him to leave the woman said that she was a demoness. And not just any demoness, she was the First Born of Demon Queen Lilith and Lucifer, Himself. She was the Demon Princess Kya, who had come on Earth since she had to finish her test by corrupting one human being at least. And if she was not successful in doing that she would never be able to go home.

Remiel knew that she was telling the truth but he had not known that things could be so difficult for the demons in hell as well and that too when you were in such an exalted position. Kya said that she had been a century old and she did not know anything about any men and only what the demonesses had told her who were in charge of her care. Lilith, was always busy somewhere either in procreating more demons or doing something dangerous and taming the beasts of Night. She was the Queen of Hell but Lucifer did not accept her as anything except his consort. Kya kept on speaking about Hell and what goes on there and how they need to learn how to torture and how they need to learn deception and sin and Remiel kept on listening to what she had to say but he never once said anything about his home at all.

It had been almost a year and Remiel had still not gone home. He had not used his powers in this whole time once. Neither had Kya. She survived on the blood of animals and although Remiel was repulsed by her feeding at first he knew that she was created that way and needed the life-force of another in order to survive. She knew that she would never go back to Hell and no one seemed to be very keen on bringing her back either. For the first time in her the Demoness was happy. She was satisfied with the life she had been living on Earth and had no intention of going back.

But one fateful night Remiel was called back home. His eldest Brother came to take him back home but the angel refused to go back. Michael was surprised when his younger brother did not obey him for the first time in his life and said that the demoness had corrupted him and he would be punished for that. Remiel smiled at Michael and said that he had never even understood what love was and never known why it was so precious. Kya for the first time came into her original form of a demon and stood before Remiel in order to protect him from his wrath. Michael threatened Remiel that he would be a fallen angel and Heaven would never receive him back again. Remiel said that his brother would himself come back to take him home but his time on Earth was yet not finished and he had a lot to live before he went back to his celestial duties.

And he also mentioned one fact that he had fallen in love with a person and the beautiful soul that she carried within her not the creature of hell that she was supposed to be. Michael went back empty handed without his brother along with him and Kya turned back towards him and asked what he would sacrifice for her if she sacrificed her everything for him. Remiel had expected that she would ask for his wings but strangely she asked for something else.

And he was happy to give her that in return for hers.

They exchanged their hearts with each other. And no I am not talking about exchanging hearts in the metaphorical way meaning that they both promised to love each other and be with each other for eternity but they exchanged their hearts out literally. One born of the Holy water and another born of the eternal flames of hell, they cut out their hearts and placed each other’s eating live heart in the body of one another. Their body accepted the organs, they were both eternal and celestial beings in their different forms and they survived this transplantation but both of them were violently sick for over a year. They took care of each other and Remiel knew that this women was his soul mate and none other.

Finally when they were back to their normal health they made love for the first time. In water.

Water is a universal conduit, the only thing that is present in all the places and realms. Earth was not powerful enough to tolerate the coupling on two celestial beings for the first time which was destined to be violent but to their surprise nothing happened to them at all. They made love in air, in water on soil and in the woods which was behind their cottage and they had never been so happy in their entire existence.

Finally one night at dinner beneath the moon lit sky and under the canopy of stars Kya told Remiel that she was carrying children and she was pregnant with his babies. Remiel could not believe what he was hearing at all. It was the first time in the entire celestial history that a demon had become pregnant with the child of an angel. No one knew what to expect and no one even understood how she could bloat up so quickly when Kya told him that she was supposed to give birth in three months. That was how the gestation period of demons have been since Lilith had to give birth to so many children altogether. And the angels had no gestation period at all.

By the end of six months Kya was ready to give birth and Remiel was so scared that he was ready to flip at any moment. It was a long birth. And after almost a day two children were born. With wings and tail. And Remiel and Kya were over the moon to see that they had made two such beautiful new lives. They were named Hansel and Gretel.

It was happy time for the celestial family but they had no idea about the forces which were at work against them since the children were born. When both of them were six months old the tails were gone and so were the wings. The babes could retract them inside their body when they wanted. They started toothing but milk was not their sustenance, it was as expected blood. Their canines were the first pair of teeth to develop and their parents thought there was nothing more beautiful the smile of their children.

They started developing other powers which were a combination of their parents. Kya knew that it was only a matter of time before her father came for her since she had finally made the transformation and she had been able to corrupt an angel and not human. It was far greater achievement than that which was expected of her. But whatever time she had she devoted in teaching her children all kinds of dark arts which were supposed to be in the knowledge of only the elite of the Hell. Remiel taught them how to use weapons and the knowledge of angels. Being half of both of them Hansel and Gretel took to knives, holy water and dark magic like fish takes to water or the birds take to sky.

It was not long before the demons started hunting Kya and Remiel, in order to bring one back to hell and to destroy the other after all she had the heart of an angel inside her. She could be very well used as a brood mare for creating powerful demons and then unleash those forces upon earth.

Rest of the story we know about leaving the children in the forest and then fighting to protect the love of his life. While the children faced the most formidable of all sorceresses in the woods who had been sent to finish the kids off or bring them back to hell. When the kids emerged from the forest the place they had known to be home for the last seven years was gone and so was their father and mother. The only thing they had of their parents were a claw from the wing of Kya and a feather from the wing of Remiel which was supposed to grant them protection and all the powers of their parents.

Thus began the story of Hansel and Gretel, about whom we know nothing!!!
