[5] Here Prescot lovingly details all the regiments of the armies, with their commanders and insignia and strengths and equipments. Vollers, saddle-flyers, cavalry and artillery are listed. Many men feature in the muster rolls. They make fascinating reading. A.B.A. [6] Here Prescot gives the compositions of the armies, muster by muster, roll by roll. It is noticeable that many of the names he lists (many of which I have omitted) are no longer mentioned in his narrative after the battle. They do appear in the casualty lists.
