Kazmiyah sat in the room, her mind reconsidering everything that had transpired up until that moment. Her mind was consumed with loss, gain, and an oncoming war that she knew would contain even more loss than what the family had already suffered. Falcon stood, amazed, at how such beautifully exuberant blue eyes could hold so much…grief and trouble. He knew most if not all of what was going on in her mind, but…he thought it best to ease into it instead of trying to force her to confront all of her worries right then and there. Folding his arms, Falcon watched his true mate sit, legs folded at the foot of the bed, her gaze so distant, he’d have sworn that she was somewhere else.
