The next morning, Lena woke up feeling refreshed. Sunlight streamed through her curtains, She stretched, smiling to herself as she thought about the peaceful day she and Grayson had spent together. It was something wonderful and she dreamed about spending more days with him like that.
By the time she got to the office, she was buzzing with energy. Arianna, greeted her with a coffee.
“Morning!” Arianna chirped. “You’re glowing. Did something good happen?”
Lena chuckled, taking the cup. “Just had a relaxing weekend. Feels nice to start the week fresh.”
Arianna grinned. “Whatever you did, it worked. You look happy.”
“I am,” Lena admitted, feeling the truth of it settle in her chest. She had worries, sure, but she also had Grayson. And that was enough to keep her moving forward.
