The triplets were half asleep when they received a mind link from Oliver, one of the guard assigned to their mate. Hearing Elena was ambushed, they all got up in an instant. The three of them came out of their respective rooms simultaneously and ran in full speed. Leaping through the door, they shifted mid air and landed on all four. They did not have to run far as they saw the intruders closing in Elena and her guards. Ethan, the fastest one among them leapt in the air and was about to reach Elena when something unfortunate happened and they all witnessed their mate getting shot, right in the heart. Loud thunderous growl echoed in the air as their wolf took over and in two leap Ethan was now near the intruder who fired the bullet.
