Rory's POV The moment I did what had to be done, I felt weird. As relieved as my brain felt after breaking the fake bond, the pain that crossed my heart was sudden and hard, indicating that there had been something real between us. But I had no time to dwell on it. I had a strict plan to accomplish. I ran past him, leaving him kneeling on the cabin floor. I didn't hear anything he said to me.
