Michael buttoned up his crisp white shirt, his eyes lingering on Della's radiant face as she sat perched on the edge of the bed, her hand resting on her growing baby bump. He couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration for the woman he loved, who seemed to glow with an inner light. Just then, his grandmother, Mrs. Thompson, popped her head through the door, a twinkle in her eye. She winked at Della, and Michael felt grateful for her presence.
