As Anna sat beside Xavier, holding his hand and trying to convince him to wake up, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She gasped, doubling over as the contraction intensified.
"Anna, what's wrong?" Ethan asked, rushing to her side.
She shook her head, and tears streamed down her face as she could not say a word; the pain got worse.
"I think...I think it's labour," Anna panted as she finally found the strength to speak.
