Chapter 13

2223 Words
The morning came soon after just a few moments later than Gabriel had finished his work which was given in school. He wanted to just look at Isis once along with the morning sun rising in the east. Although he could not do that for a long time back but he desperately wanted to do that and it was the rate at which he wanted Isis to become his mate. Vampires almost mated for life, or the rest of their wretched existence but if they mated it would be for thousand years and they could not break the bond even if they wanted too so it was absolutely necessary to be sure that the female you were mating to was going to share everything that came infront of them, because she would have to be ready to murder for her love’s sake even. And Gabriel had seen a sheen of fire burning at the back of those beautifully bright green eyes and knew it that there was something different about her which he could not place his fingers upon but he intended to do that very soon. But even more than that he needed to track to a witch very soon so that the witch could make a tracking spell by which he could find out the place where the graves had been dug and the bodies had been put inside earth but what he could not more understand that how could the smells have been blocked. Because however deep they were inside earth, the smell of rotting flesh could not be stopped and it would definitely permeate the air sometime early or late. The worms and maggots would creep inside the bodies and start eating the softer parts of flesh and then the blood ants would come and burrow inside the soil and then they would go for the marrow. If these many creatures were moving inside the same place then how would it was possible to miss but due to some inexplicable reason no creatures were moving towards the graves. There was another possibility as well, that the bodies had been burnt but that would have pulled far more attention than anything else because the smell of burning flesh and smoke would have brought the local police to immediate attention. Something more was happening here and the group of rogues were definitely animals but were highly intelligent animals or they had the help of someone to do these crimes and so they also the support in hiding these grisly murders and he needed to find some sort of clue very soon. Or the Council would not be happy with his family. Petrov’s knock on the door brought him back to earth and broke his reverie. “Come soon Brother, it is Regina. She has been almost murdered without us knowing anything at night,” said Petrov in huffs. The moment he dropped these words from his mouth, Gabriel’s movement was just a blur before his eyes and he reached the room of Regina and found Regina lying in a pool of blood, with multiple wounds on her face and upper body and abdomen and multiple abrasions which were healing but the rate of her healing was very slow. The moment Gabriel entered the room he should have been greeted by the coppery smell of blood pooling on the floor but it was without any odour which rocked his core. Regina wasn’t an original vampire and was turned into Nosferatu by his Father. But it was food for thought at a later time. “Bring 5 bags of blood Petrov, immediately,” was his command. “But she doesn’t drink from bags Brother,” Petrov softly reminded him. “Right now at this moment, she doesn’t have a choice to go by her choice and preferences but what she needs most and trust me, I am not going to offer her my blood on any count and neither are you. So go and bring the bagged blood,” said Gabriel. As Petrov went out to fetch the blood, Gabriel dropped down on one knee beside Regina and tried to find if she was in her senses or what had happened last night that had broken down this woman to this extent. Regina flickered her eyes at some sense of movement and without even looking at who was there beside her she whispered, “Kill me.” Gabriel had not expected something like this to drop from her bruised lips and asked her softly,”Why?” “Do anything but please kill me, don’t hurt me anymore. I can’t take it Daddy, please Daddy,” said Regina. This woman was in her senses but was still locked in her nightmare and it was not a pretty one but this was not the time to know about her nightmare. Someone or whoever had come in this room last night had hurt her, beaten her up and broken her so badly that she went back to her past nightmare and locked herself inside it. Petrov came back with the bags of blood in the meanwhile and handed over the thermobox to Gabriel. Gabriel opened the lid and took out one bag and pierced one corner of the bag with sharp canines and held the bag infront of Regina’s nose. Instinctively, Regina moved forward to take the blood in her mouth and suckled the bag dry in seconds and immediately Gabriel fed her another bag and then one more. Petrov put his hand on his shoulder and said, ”If you feed her anymore then you will be letting her go into bloodlust and you can’t handle her then, let her system cope with the blood it has already received. If more is needed we can always feed her later on.” Gabriel understood the merit in his words and nodded slightly. After a few minutes, all the wounds on Regina’s body had healed up and knit themselves leaving her skin spotless and pale like early. And some time later Regina woke up from her unconscious state and looked at Gabriel and Petrov dazedly. Suddenly she rose up from her lying position with a shriek and started screaming her hearts out. Petrov dropped the box on the floor with a thud because it was so sudden and unexpected. Gabriel was not shocked and was fairly expecting something of this sort. He sat down on his knees very carefully and gave a tight slap on Regina’s cheek to break her out of the horror she was currently experiencing. “Please let me go. I can’t take this anymore. It was greater than any kind of torture I have ever faced,” said Regina. Gabriel said, ”I understand that fairly, but in order to fight whatever happened to you I need to know what has happened last night. I don’t expect you were sleeping.” “I’m not sure that I shall be able to relive all that has happened last night by saying every single detail to you,” said Regina. “Then do you you want us to drain you of your memories and turn you into a vegetable?” asked Petrov whose ears were still ringing from the screams. Legitimate fear showed up in her eyes at the threat of Petrov. She said, ”I can tell you but I need sometime.” “For what? So that you can dilute the truth and mislead us to go about in circles as you do with other men? No Regina, it is not going to happen this time. You’re going to tell us everything this moment,” said Gabriel. “Last night when I came inside the room and locked the door, I thought that I could rest a bit because the afternoon had been absolutely atrocious. After about an hour suddenly a cold wind seeped in my room like mist, I don’t know from where but then it started swirling and turned into a blizzard. It was a monster, that I can tell you for sure but without any form, I have never experienced something like this. The whole air that was in my room smelled pungent and foul and it was as if I was smelling evil in it’s real form. Then suddenly I was pinned in the bed and it felt like my hands were tied and I couldn’t even scream because someone had taken away my voice and I was raped multiple times and so many places of my body was bitten and as if chunks of flesh were taken away. I cried and cried but I was punched in the face so much that I could hear the crunch of the bones myself. I do not know for how much time this happened but I was dragged to the floor and then kicked everywhere as if someone was taking out their rage on me. After that I lost any sense which I retained. I became unconscious and after that I don’t know anything,” Regina was sobbing when she finished describing her ordeal. Gabriel stood up and took her by the hand and made her sit on the couch and started moving the floorboard on which Regina was lying and Petrov came and helped him to tear away the wooden floorboard, and like Gabriel had expected the original floor was of marble and a pentagram was neatly engraved in the marble. It could have been easily used by someone to summon something which was not of this world. Petrov looked at him with knowledge in his eyes and said, “I know of someone who can help in this town.” “And who is that?” asked Gabriel. “The one with dark hair and green eyes, in our class at school,” said Petrov. “Do you have a death wish or you purposefully taunting me?” asked Gabriel with ice in his voice. “You know not many things which I know of dear Brother. Why do you think that I would mention her name?” asked Petrov. “I have no idea of that but Petrov know this well if you say anything derogatory about her or try to lead to me in doing something which might endanger her life you will live no more,” warned Gabriel. “She has been touched by death multiple times already brother. Her aura is dark and grey and swirls of black ribbon inside it. I have seen nothing like that in my entire existence. If anyone can help us then she is the one.” “But what if she doesn’t know anything about herself? Are you sure there are some powers inside her?” asked Gabriel. “May I say something?” asked Regina suddenly. “Is it important at this point time?” asked Petrov. “I think so,” said Regina. “Speak out. And fast,” said Gabriel. “There was one more woman who had the same aura as Petrov is now speaking about. I never saw so, but my maid knew how to read auras and she had mentioned it to me that the woman had been called upon in the castle for some very important work of the Count and was kept in absolute secrecy. She only moved around in the day when none of us remained awake and she also had the dark hair, eyes I can’t say about,” said Regina. Gabriel was trying to process what Regina had said just then, because the knowledge could lead to a path breaking discovery and he would have all the help needed and it would be a win-win situation for all. But then suddenly Petrov said, ”You are a compulsive liar, Regina and we both know that. One more thing is if I next time find you snooping through our conversations or calls or any other personal matters of our family then I will s***h away all the veins inside your brain with surgical precision and no one will be able to ever bring you back again. It will be a fate worse than death.” Gabriel and Petrov stood up and went out of the room saying, “ You are not going to stay in this room more. So take the room upstairs beside the attic and I think a lot of cleaning work needs to be done if it is to be made habitable.” Petrov closed the door behind her and said, ”I never expected you to be so easily swayed by her manipulations. Whatever happened to her will never get her out of her twisted ways. Brother she knows nothing of anyone and I know that personally, so never believe anything she says.” Gabriel had got a blow when Regina said that and he needed to see Isis if he had to forget this b***h. Sometimes Gabriel felt that whatever was happening to her Regina deserved it. Both brothers went to their respective rooms to get ready for school.
