When Cass got into the shower the following day, she did everything but shower. She replayed her disastrous date with Adrian, thought hard about his revelation and all it implied, and ended up freezing under the cold water before snapping out of it and finally taking a damn shower.
Looking at the clock when she got out, she realized she was running out of time.
It was almost 7 pm!
As a result, she neither bothered with her hair nor her make-up. She would have to go natural, not that she minded, but she had bags under her eyes and a little bit of foundation cream would do her good. She therefore hurriedly applied some, and then put on the first outfit that popped in her mind upon opening her closet.
In her haste to get going, she found a little peace of mind.
