Tessa Ryan lay beside me in bed, scrolling through his phone as I stared at the rotating ceiling fan, lost in thoughts. We’d been married five years, and somewhere along the way, the fire had dimmed. I wanted to feel something, anything, different from the stale usual. “Hey,” I whispered, rolling onto my side to face him. “You wanna… you know, try tonight?” He set his phone down on the nightstand, turning to me with that familiar half-smile. “Yeah, sure.
