The room froze. Lisa’s mouth fell open, stunned. She stumbled back a step as if Tom had slapped her. “You… you knew?” she stammered, her voice losing its sharpness for the first time. Tom didn’t even glance at her. His eyes were locked on me, dark and burning. “Yeah, Lisa. I knew. I’ve known for a while now.” I opened my mouth, but no words came out. My legs felt weak. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jordan approach to meet the chaos in the kitchen. He stood frozen, half-dressed, confusion all over his face. “You think I’m an i***t?” Tom said, his voice even. “You think I didn’t notice the way he looked at her? The way she looked at him?” His eyes shifted between Jordan and myself, something unreadable covered in them. Lisa shook her head like she couldn’t process it. “I don't get it
