CHAPTER THIRTEEN

URIEL’s POV. I heard voices from my room and I was kind of surprised because it was already late into the night. Who would be making such noises? it was none of my business but anything to take my mind off what has been going on. My father’s attorney called and told me that truthfully dad willed everything to that witch he called a wife and as if that was not enough, she has the full right to everything, including the insurance he claimed to be keeping for me. I didn’t even know how to react since he told me, the only thing going on in my head was how to navigate through everything that was happening. Losing my father and my husband on the same day was an experience I would never be able to forget no matter how hard I try and that was why I decided to go out and check out the noise only to find Damon and some other girl that I have never seen before. What caught my attention was the fact that his zipper was down and his d**k was out. My mouth hung open in awe of what was in front of me. What the hell was this? How did we get here? I looked at the two of them, disgust written all over my face. What were the two of them doing to warrant such nonsense and for the love of the moon goddess, they are not the only ones in the house.. “You are beautiful” the lady said to me as her lips curled into a smile, “I can now understand why he took your name” I watched as Damon quickly pulled his zipper up before grabbing the lady by her hand and yanking her towards himself. “Get the hell out before I snap your head off your body” Before she could answer, he pulled her away and I stood there looking at him until they went down the stairs and I heard the front door slam shut. I flinched and cupped my stomach, I was scared for a moment. I stood and waited until I saw him come up the stairs towards me. We both stood, looking at ourselves. Part of me wanted to laugh but it wasn’t funny. How could he go around with his stuff out and just…, “You didn’t have to see that” his voice jolted me out of my mind, “it was a mistake” I was taken aback, Damon was apologizing to me? It was not that he needed to explain anything to me. I was not even bothered about anything that he does. It was none of my business. “I..; “You don’t have to explain to me, Damon” I told him, “it’s your house and you can do as you wish. Don’t worry about me, I am good” “But you didn’t have to see that” “You don’t have to explain yourself to me, Damon. It’s actually none of my business, you can do what you waned this is your house and I have no right over you” He let out a heavy sigh as he raked his fingers through his hair, I could see the frustration in his eyes and the hard on in between his legs. He was hard but she was already gone. How would he do it? I shook my head to remove such thoughts, it was none of my business anyways. He could do whatever he wanted with himself. “Just keep it down next time” I told him, “they are people in the house” I didn’t bother to wait for him to answer before turning around and walking away. I had a lot on my mind and it was definitely not caring about him or his boner. ***** When I woke up and got ready the next morning, Damon was already seated on the dining table with his glasses perched on his nose as usual. He looked ethereal, I couldn't lie. Suit had never looked good on someone except Felix but this man looked so good that I would have drooled if I was in another position. “Good morning ma’am” Grace greeted as she pulled out a seat for me but I shook my head in the negative. “I am not hungry” I told her and I made to walk away but Damon’s deep baritone halted me. “What do you mean you are not hungry, Uriel?” “Exactly what I said” “Well, you have to eat” “I am not hungry” Somewhere in my head, I could still picture the whole scenario from last night and I hated myself for feeling that way, I hated the fact that I have now become somewhat curious. I knew Damon and I hated him so why the heck was I still feeling this way? I clenched my jaw together, I am not letting any man make a mess of me again no matter what. “You need to eat for the baby,” he said again. “It’s not in your place to care about my child” I finally snapped at him, “what’s your deal anyways? I can take care of myself, you don’t need to act like you can take care of me so leave me alone” “And I will take care of you” he flared up, removing his glasses, “you are under my roof and you are my best friend’s ex wife so yes I will take care of you” “And yet, you want me as a wife!” I half yelled in his face and I immediately regretted it. Most of the workers are here and I was not sure if Damon had told them yet. He looked up, so very upset, something I have never seen before. “Don’t give me that look, young lady” he growled again, “you will eat and that’s final” “You are not the boss of me” I told him, “so stop acting like one” “You are in my house and I am going to take care of you weather you approve of it or not so sit your ass down and eat, I don’t mind bending you over the dinning table and f*****g the life out of you, don’t make me” His statement made me take a step back from him, he was being serious and I could see it in his eyes. “You can’t boss me around” I gritted my teeth together and folded my hand across my chest, “I am not scared of you” He smirked and leaned forward, “I bet you are looking forward to me bending you over but I won’t do that…not yet. Ella will come over for you later, you can pick any dress of your choice” Before I could say anything, he grabbed his jacket and off he left. How vague of him to say something like that to me. “He is always like that ma’am” Grace’s voice jolted me out of my thoughts. “Bossy bastard!” I muttered to myself, “I will eat later, okay?” “Sure ma’am” And that’s how I made my way back upstairs with his voice still ringing in my head and the image of his erection in my head. What the hell? Why was I thinking about him? I shouldn’t even dare think about him in that light. He meant nothing to me in any way. I quickly pushed the thought of him to the back of my head and allowed my mind to wander somewhere else. An hour later, his assistant showed up and we left to get the dress. She looked pretty, really pretty if you asked me but that was actually none of my business anyways. We arrived at the dress store and one of the workers was already waiting for us with a huge smile on her face. “We have been expecting you, Mrs Delaponte” she said, bowing to me. A look of surprise flashed through my face. Did she just call me Mrs Delaponte? That was Damon’s surname. Why the heck was she calling me that? “She isn’t his wife yet” his assistant fists me to it. “My apologies, that was what he asked us to call her when she arrived” “Save the lecture and move” Damon’s assistant was rude. Well, what did I expect from someone like him? Birds of a feather all flock together. “Of course ma’am” Just as we stepped into the hall, my eyes caught Louisa and Felix, she had a wedding gown in her hand. My countenance immediately changed. “Felix has a mistress?” Damon’s assistant blurted out, “I thought he was married” It seemed like she didn’t know me, that was good. She looked like a blabbermouth. I wanted to walk away quickly before any of them could see me. But it seemed like the universe was not on my side because the two of them turned and our eyes met. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. “Can we go?” I asked the lady but Louisa was already coming towards us. “I see you also came here” she said as soon as she came to a halt in front of me, “what are you doing here?” “She came to get a wedding dress,” Damon’s assistant blurted out. “Are you getting married?” Felix mocked, “don’t tell me you had a man screwing you when we were married” The bombshell!! Damon’s assistant turned to me, her face covered in horror. “Why are you here with her anyway?” Felix went ahead to ask her, “do you know her?” “Damon boss, he… “Yes” I interrupted her, “I am getting married. Is it a problem? Aren’t you also here to get a dress for your mistress!” “How dare…. Louisa lunged at me but a wall immediately came between us, a tall and well built wall and he completely blocked me from her attack… the Damon wall. “Raising your hand to my wife is not a very good idea, Louisa” he muttered and all hell immediately broke loose.
