I can’t stop smiling.
Victor wants to date me. My childhood fantasies are finally coming true. OH MY GOD! And here I thought Victor was being aloof because he wasn’t interested in me, but he proved me wrong.
But when he told me he cared about me, it felt like he was being sincere. Victor is Stanley’s best friend, and we’ve known each other since we were kids, so he won’t deceive me, right?
I feel so elated and thrilled.
Stanley narrows his eyes at me as I walk into the apartment. “Why are you smiling like that?’
“What, I can’t be happy?” I pout.
“Sure, but you are practically beaming with joy, and it’s kind of freaking me out. Did something happen?”
