I take a deep breath. “I’m sorry, Frida. It all happened so suddenly, and with everything that’s been going on, I guess it slipped my mind. Victor proposed this morning, and I said yes.”
Frida’s expression softens, and she quickly moves closer, wrapping me in another tight hug. “Oh, Rose, I’m so happy for you! This is incredible news! Victor must really love you.”
Tears of joy fill my eyes as I hug Frida back. “Thank you, Frida. Your friendship means the world to me, and I’m grateful to have you by my side through all of this.”
Frida pulls away, a wide grin on her face. “Of course, girl! We’re in this together. Now, let’s go inside and find out how far along you are. I can’t wait to be Auntie Frida to your little one!” She winks at me. “So, does my future husband know about this?”
